(Minneapolis, MN - July 27, 2018) -- Today, Margaret Anderson Kelliher received the endorsement of Minnesota Pipe Trades Association. The Minnesota Pipe Trades Association represent nine thousand Plumbers, Pipefitters, Sprinklerfitters, Gasfitters, HVAC and Service Technicians throughout the state of Minnesota.  In addition to support from the labor community, Anderson Kelliher’s campaign for the 5th Congressional District has earned the broadest support from currently-serving District elected officials.

“The Minnesota Pipe Trades Association is proud to endorse Margaret Anderson Kelliher for Congress.  Margaret has the experience and expertise to move the 5th District forward. Her accomplishments as former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chair of the Governor's Broadband Task Force, and President and CEO of the Minnesota High Tech Association.  She is a visionary in the workforce development arena and an unwavering friend to organized labor. She is the clear choice for CD 5 and the great state of Minnesota,” said David Ybarra, President of the Minnesota Pipe Trades Association.

“I stand with workers and the unions that have helped reduce gender pay gaps and improve outcomes for families. As the daughter of a small dairy farmer, I know how important the unions are to protecting the livelihoods of Minnesotans. As Speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives, I fought for workers' rights to organize and for increased resources to put Minnesotans to work. I also have helped bring more funding to the 5th District than any other candidate in this race. I have been a champion for Minnesotan unions and as the Member of Congress for Minnesota's 5th District, I will continue to fight for our working families,” said Margaret Anderson Kelliher.

Margaret Anderson Kelliher is running to represent the 5th District of Minnesota in Congress.
