Margaret Anderson Kelliher Outlines Clear Vision and Leadership at WCCO Debate
(Minneapolis, MN – August 2, 2018) - Margaret Anderson Kelliher, candidate for Minnesota’s open 5th Congressional District seat, outlined a clear vision and leadership she will bring to Washington during today’s radio debate at WCCO.
Anderson Kelliher announced that her top committee selections would be Transportation and Infrastructure and Education and Workforce. As House Speaker, Anderson Kelliher led the veto override that secured over $8.8 billion in transportation and transit investments for the state of Minnesota. Anderson Kelliher has been a leader in creating jobs of the future and addressing the workforce shortage.
“From the city to the suburbs, I am ready to get to work on day one to stand up for the needs of this district. I will go to Congress for the people of the 5th District who need a leader to stand up to this Administration. I have stood up to Pawlenty. We can go to Washington together to fight this Administration’s cruel attempts to undermine access and affordability to education, healthcare, social security, and Medicare,” said Anderson Kelliher.
